One step to achieving the overall goals of the CTSA is to increase the availability of core facilities. Many well-known core or shared technologies exist on CUMC, and the Translational Technologies and Resources group provides support for a selected array. By providing support for cores, it aims to contribute towards:
- training and mentoring a new generation of multidisciplinary, clinical and translational investigators;
- increasing availability and optimizing utilization of outstanding, existing CUMC resources; and
- increasing recruitment of outstanding clinical investigators to pre-clinical and clinical departments at CUMC.
