Overview
The Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research’s Clinical Research Resource (CRR) and TRANSFORM Workforce Development is proud to announce the official launch of the Phlebotomy Training Program in support of CUIMC efforts to enhance research training and certification processes. In collaboration with National Health Career Association (NHA), People and Organizational Development (POD), Office of General Counsel (OGC), Office for Research (OFR) and the Helene Fuld Health Trust Simulation Center (Columbia School of Nursing) this preceptor-led program included didactic training, simulation, and live blood draws to meet testing minimum requirements.
Upon successful completion of the one-week training program (including mandatory draws), students will receive an exam code to schedule their NHA certification examination.
