Overview

Conference Room PH-10-204

This executive-style conference room includes:

  • Capacity: Seating for 26 people. The room can be expanded to accommodate 44 seats in lecture style.
  • A/V equipment: Computer in podium with touch screen, VGA and HDMI hook-up, in-ceiling microphone and speakers, dual cameras in front and rear of room, 85” HD Television. Instructions on how to use our system will be provided upon booking. A/V support may also be requested.
  • Kitchenette: This room has a small kitchenette equipped with a hand-washing sink, counterspace, microwave, and refrigerator. Use of the kitchenette is restricted to Irving Institute staff.
  • Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm weekdays. For any meetings outside of these hours please consult with administrative staff.
  • Directions to the Conference room:Enter the Presbyterian Hospital “PH” Building located at 622 West 168th Street (between Fort Washington and Broadway). After the security desk, walk straight down the corridor until you see the PH elevator bank- four elevators on your right and two on your left. Take the PH elevators to the 10th floor and the conference room is through the double doors just outside the elevator bank.
  • Reminder: Include set-up and clean-up time in your request. For example, if your meeting starts at 11:00 am, but you need 30 minutes to set-up, select a start time of 10:30 am.

Note on Food: Due to the frequency of meetings throughout the day we kindly ask that you refrain from offering food or beverages during your meeting. If you would like to serve food, please contact our administrative staff for additional guidance on how to set-up and break down your meeting.

Eligibility

This conference room is available for University and Hospital-sponsored meetings with users defined as internal and external.

Internal users: VP&S faculty, scholars and staff. Additional eligibility as follows:

  • Reservations made by all full-time faculty members of VP&S or their research staff
  • Post-Doctoral students and Fellows are permitted to reserve the space at no cost if there is an Assistant Professor that will be listed on the room reservation.
  • Administrative Personnel may request use of our space via their Department Administrator

External users: NewYork-Presbyterian, Community members, Industry, Non-VP&S Columbia University employees, and others.

Cost

There is a fee to use the space for external users and for business purposes other than research, education, and career development. We are unable to charge any grant accounts.

  • Room Rate: $325/hour (effective January 2, 2024)
    • This fee is for all External Users and includes: room fees, A/V usage, booking fees, room access coordination, as applicable)
  • Cancellation Fee: $150 (if canceled less than (3) days prior to the scheduled meeting)
  • CleanUp Fee: $250 (if room is not left in its original condition or chairs are not put back)
